Enthusiastic volunteers are key to the success of Bike MS rides. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Georgia Chapter needs volunteers to help out during our Savannah ride. There are opportunities for groups and individuals. Volunteering is a great way to have fun, meet people, learn new skills and help the thousands of Georgians living with MS.

What should I bring?

  • Signed and completed Volunteer Agreement Form
  • Water bottle or small cooler
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Insect repellant
  • The 2008 Bike MS: Georgia Power Savannah Ride Volunteer Manual

When should I arrive for my shift?

Arrive 30 minutes before your shift begins. This ensures time to park, check in and find your volunteer location.

Where do I park?

There will be a designated parking area at the start, finish and overnight site for all participants, family, friends and volunteers. Parking attendants will be on site to direct you to specific parking areas. There will be parking for those staying at the host hotels.

Where do I go when I arrive to volunteer?

Go directly to the Volunteer Check-In booth.

What if it rains?

The Tour will take place rain or shine, so please dress appropriately. If there is a chance for rain, remember to bring a rain poncho and umbrella, as well as a change of shoes and socks.

Will I be able to eat?

Each volunteer receives a food wristband, but we do ask that you eat before or after your volunteer shift. In this scenario, please alert someone at Volunteer Check-In. Please refer to meal times for your convenience.
